A CARNOUSTIE man was found dead in his home on Sunday morning by police and paramedics after responding to a call-out.
At around 8.10 a.m. on Sunday police attended an address at the corner of Kinloch Street and Brown Street to find the body of a 59 year old man.
The man has been identified as Samuel English, more commonly known as Tony, who had lived in Carnoustie for around 30 years after leaving Northern Ireland.
The normally quiet residential area was a hive of activity on Sunday as armed police and scene of the crime investigators descended on the address.
A section of Kinloch Street from Panmure Street to Burnside Street was closed off while police experts went to work on Sunday, but by Monday morning the road had been reopened with only a small section cordoned off to contain the crime scene.
Today (Monday) two people who had been helping police with their inquiries were released.
