TWO CARNOUSTIE Cubs from the A Cub Pack that meets on Tuesday nights have achieved the highest award available to Cubs.
South Angus District Commissioner Stewart Duff visited the pack meeting last Tuesday to award Callum Lang and Cameron Dunn their Chief Scout’s Silver Award.
The boys had been working on the various challenge badges throughout their two-and-a-half years in Cubs and this has culminated in this top award. During this time they have worked through a varied array of activities including events for the community, helping others, learning about global issues, taking part in various sports and pursuits, being artistic and creative, and of course learning and having fun with lots of traditional scouting skills. Camping was the Cubs’ favourite activity and this is what they are looking forward to continuing when they move up to the scout troop.
