With exam results due out shortly, D&A College has organised open days for potential students.

With thousands of young people receiving exam results on Tuesday August 9, D&A College is gearing up for an influx of course applications.

And to help potential students kick start their futures, the college is hosting two open days at their Gardyne and Arbroath campuses.

These one-stop shops will provide information on courses, and showcase facilities on offer, and staff will be on hand to assist with applications.

The college has worked hard to ensure courses at Kingsway, Gardyne and Arbroath campuses are tailored to fit the demands of employers.

Science is one area that has expanded hugely in terms of employment in recent years with Angus playing host to a major pharmaceuticals company and Dundee a renowned centre for life sciences.

D&A staff have changed the face of its science department which sees more female students than male – completely bucking the national trend.

The hospitality sector has also grown in recent years. D&A College has training restaurants at both Kingsway and Arbroath, ensuring professional cookery and front-of-house skills are instilled.

The open days will take place at Gardyne and Arbroath campuses on Wednesday 10 August from noon-6pm.

D&A College will also be running a dedicated results helpline – 0300 123 1037 – from Friday, August 5.
