It was announced on Saturday that the brave souls of the Arbroath Ne’er Day Dook had raised a grand total of £2,112.79 for Cancer Research UK.
Alana Loudon, one of the dook organisers said: “That was the fifth year of doing the dook. We’d like to thank the RNLI and Jack Newth our piper who has been with us every year, they’ve given us great support and it wouldn’t happen without them. We’d also like to say thank you to all the dookers, that was the worst weather we’ve had in the five years. We are delighted that we still managed to raise over £2,000.”
