Broughty Ferry volunteer lifeboat crew were called into action on Friday after a crewless yacht collided with the station’s jetty.
The drama unfolded on Friday when RNLI members who were on station spotted the boat drifting towards the station. Broughty Ferry crew members were quick into action but unable to stop the yacht from colliding with the station jetty, after it broke free from its mooring in the blustery conditions
The crew of the inshore lifeboat quickly secured the vessel preventing further damage before towing it back to a secure mooring.
By 4.17pm the lifeboat crew had completed their task and returned to station where the lifeboat was made ready for service.
