A LOCAL property firm has announced a fund-raising drive which will bring Christmas joy to an Arbroath community youth project.
Throughout December, Thorntons Property Services will donate £50 to the CAFE Project for every property listed for sale with their Arbroath branch.
The CAFE Project, established 16 years ago aims to help the young people of the town make positive choices, feel needed and be safe.
Roddy Maxwell, property manager at Thorntons, said: “The CAFE Project plays a vital role in our community and at Thorntons Property Services we wanted to organise a fund-raiser to show our support.
“For every property we list in December, we will donate £50 to the charity which we know will be put to good use.
“With only weeks to go before Christmas, we hope locals who are looking to put their properties on the market will consider Thorntons, knowing we are supporting a great cause.”
Norrie Stein from the CAFE steering committee added: “The support of Thorntons will help us to help others, particularly vulnerable young people and those with disability.
“Our motto is HELP! (Health, Education, Leisure and Progress) for those wanting to get on in life by promoting a wide range of important skills and offering all sorts of fun and games in the process.”
