Easter holiday events at Monifieth Library

THE EASTER holidays are fast approaching and with them the Tartan Day Scotland celebrations. Monifieth Library is pleased to be holding activities for children throughout the holiday fortnight.

Baby Bookbug: A Touch of Tartan will be held on Tuesday, April 2, at 10.30 a.m.. This session is for new babies and their carers. Bookbug’s Storytime: A Touch of Tartan will be held on the same day at 2 p.m. and is aimed at pre-school aged children. On Wednesday, April 3, Toddler Bookbug: A Touch of Tartan will be held at 10.30 a.m. Children in primaries one to three are invited along to a special interactive storytime which will be held on Wednesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. Booking is required for this event. Children in primaries four to seven can take part in a Haggis Hunt which will run throughout the holidays. All these activities are free.

After the Easter holidays, library staff will be looking forward to World Book Night, which takes place on Tuesday, April 23. Members of the public are invited along to the library between 3.30 and 4.30 p.m. for a cup of tea and a chat with staff. Later in the evening there will be a visit from Scottish crime author Gillian Galbraith.
