Eco fun day at Monifieth

MONIFIETH Eco Force held a fun day at the pavilion by the Blue Seaway park at Monifieth beach on Sunday.

There was fun for all the family including, face painting, bouncy castle, beat the goalie, dog walk, mini tennis and more.

Much needed refreshments were provided by the Van Diner and sponsors of the event included Tayview Caravan Park, Tayside Contracts and the Van Diner.

Spencer the goalkeeper and Monifieth Athletic provided the goal and the footballs.

First aiders were on site for the afternoon to provide support.

The mini tennis was provided by Melanie Carnegie a volunteer and racquets and balls were on loan from the local schools.

Walkies were at the event and had organised a walk along the beach and a dog show.

There was also a chance to enter a drawing competition for the children and entries are being posted to OurMonifieth facebook page for people to vote by ‘liking’ the drawings.

Closing date for entry is June 10 and last chance to vote will be the June 30.

The total raised was £70.40, which will help go towards Monifieth’s entry into Beautiful Scotland competition.
