Awards presented to reading challenge stars

93 children completed the Summer Reading Challenge Circus Stars at Monifieth Library through out the holidays. The children read 6 books and entered a number of competitions. The medal ceremony took place at the MAD Theatre in Monifieth. Local actress Chloe Foston entertained the children with Circus Stories before dashing up to the ceremony in Forfar library. Library assistant Elaine McCleary presented the medals as she leaves the library in order to go to Dundee University. This year prizes were donated by Rowanlea Riding School, Dundee Ice Arena, Odeon Cinema, Brewers Fayre, Jumping Joey's, Troops the Chemist, Lairds Larder, Angus Council and the Scottish Rugby Union providing a signed Scottish rugby ball. Tesco's Monifieth helped to provide refreshments.

THE MARVELLOUS total of 93 children completed the Summer Reading Challenge Circus Stars at Monifieth Library throughout the holidays.

They each read six books and entered a number of competitions. The medal ceremony took place at the MAD Theatre last Tuesday.

Local actress Chloe Foston entertained the children with circus stories before dashing up to a ceremony in Forfar Library.

Library assistant Elaine McCleary, who is leaving to take a degree course at Dundee University, presented the medals.
