Members of Burnside Primary School photography club recently took part in an old fashioned black and white photography project.

They spent time at Arbroath Abbey using black and white film cameras to take photographs. The films were developed by photographer Malcolm Thomson who then visited the school to help with the printing. A makeshift darkroom was set up in a large storage cupboard and each pupil got time to print their favourite picture.

The pictures can be viewed in the school foyer. Members of the photography club are now working on a project to take pictures of local scenes around Carnoustie. Our picture shows photography club members with some of their pictures.
