CLYDE the official mascot of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow visited Carnoustie on Friday on his nationwide tour.

The thistle man dropped in on the town’s Leisure Centre before making his way to Carnoustie High School pool to meet with Angus Provost Helen Oswald.

Clyde’s visit to Carnoustie coincided with the Games for Angus event, which is designed to introduce children to a variety of sports inspired by the Commonwealth Games.

Carnoustie will play its own part when the Games come to Scotland in just under two years time, as all shooting events will be held at Barry Buddon.
