GROVE Academy’s green fingered pupils marked a national celebration of all things natural last week.
Between May 19 and 27 the Eco School Group marked Scottish Biodiversity Week with two projects.
First of all pupils planted a ‘Jubilee Wood’ which had been given to Grove Academy by the Woodland Trust, and they planted a collection of shrubs and their ‘Jubilee Oak’ in the wild wood area adjacent to the school.
Pupils also covered out a survey of plants and insect life at the Queen Street car park in Broughty Ferry.
The garden originally developed by senior pupils at the school is now an attractive area filled with a variety of wild flowers and insects.
