A BROUGHTY Ferry school has ranked in the top 20 Scottish schools according to a Sunday Times survey.
The survey, which was published at the weekend, named Grove Academy as number 20 in the top 50 Scottish state secondary schools. The education spokesperson for Dundee City Council, Councillor Laurie Bidwell, pointed out the significance of the placing.
He said: “That’s 20th place out of 376 secondary schools in Scotland. This is an outstanding accomplishment bearing in mind the upheaval of their new school building being constructed round about then and then more recently a significant turnover in their senior management team.
“Congratulations are due to staff and pupils of Grove Academy for achieving their 20th place in the Sunday Times list.”
