A BROUGHTY Ferry student hopes to make a career out of his recent mathematic success.
Agnijo Banerjee (11), has just moved from Forthill Primary to Grove Academy and was told earlier this month that he had attained a Credit Grade One pass in Mathematics.
Agnijo was identified in primary school as being very able in maths and also interested in chemistry and physics, to the extent that he exceeded the resources available at Forthill and help was sought from Grove Academy.
For one hour a week throughout primary seven Agnijo was tutored by Mrs O’Brien, principal teacher of mathematics at Grove Academy, and in May he sat the Credit level exam.
Agnijo is now in first year at Grove Academy and has ambitions to become a research mathematician when he is older.
