All of Carnoustie’s Primary Seven children had the opportunity on Thursday to take part in the Carnoustie Commonwealth Games. Pupils from Burnside, Carlogie, Woodlands, Monikie and Newbigging primary schools gathered for the event at Carnoustie High School.
The transition event was organised by the S5 and S6 sports leaders. The children were split into teams and competed as 20 different countries participating in 10 different sports including rugby, hockey, athletics and boxing.
Canada eventually emerged triumphant and the event succeeded in helping the children form new friendships and familiarise themselves with the High School. Our picture shows the children taking part in one of the events.
