Primary pupils’ annual games

GAMES EVENT: A total pf 169 primary two pupils from across Monifieth gathered for their annual games event in David Lloyd Leisure last 'Friday.'Both sports leaders from Monifieth High School and coaches from Dundee Football Club came along to run activities for the youngsters. This was co-ordinated by Angus Active Schools. The games were all simple yet developmental and provided the children with a fun packed morning. The event was enjoyed by pupils, parents and staff. It was also an excellent opportunity to introduce new games to the children all of which can be taken into the school grounds to give them more opportunities to keep active within school and working towards their one hour of physical activity per day. Schools that took part on the day were Auchterhouse, Mattocks, Liff, Birkhill, Murroes, Grange and Seaview.
