MEMBERS of a Carnoustie youth employment scheme have been hard at work over the past few weeks.
The Soup Group, which operates out of the Panmure Centre on Kinloch Street, is geared towards teaching young unemployed people between the ages of 16 and 19 the importance of budgeting.
The programme has members budget to make soup and one other dish every week, also helping develop their numeracy, literacy, cooking and customer service skills.
There is also an option to study Elementary Food Hygiene at Angus College.
Pictured hard at work in the kitchen are Marianne Philip and Levi Towner. For more information contact Vicky Long on 01241 853091.
