Up, up and away!

Grove Academy pupils launched their hopes and dreams sky high today (Monday) at a special event on global citizenship.

The S1 pupils were taking part in the ‘Inspire>Aspire: Global Citizens in the Making’ programme run by Character Scotland which aims to support the development of character and values in children.

After some inspiring speeches by Shona Robison MSP, Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport, and Olympic medallist Liz McColgan the pupils were encouraged to write their aspirations on helium balloons and symbolically release them into the sky.

Our video shows the pupils at the moment of launch.
