Embroiderers’ club for youngsters

YOUNGSTERS who might like to embroider are invited to join a young embroiderers’ group being set up by the Montrose branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild. Organisers hope that it will be up and running by the end of next month.

It will feature sessions for youngsters from five to 11 years and 12 to 18 years which will be of two hours duration on the fourth Saturday of the month. Meetings will take place in the Mechanics Institute, Brechin.

Anyone interested in joining these sessions will firstly need to be members of the Young Embroiderers’ Guild. This can be done easily on line, but all you need to know can be had from the group’s leader, Nila Monckton, who can be contacted on 01561 340230, or Ingram Bruce, on 01674 676327.
