A group of charitably-minded Carnoustie children raised nearly £200 at a street sale they masterminded themselves.
The youngsters, aged between six and 12, raised a total of £185.30 from sales at their own ‘Everything Stall’ which they set up in the street.
They created their own promotional flyers, collected items to sell from neighbours, painted nails and also sold a huge variety of homemade cakes.
Despite the poor weather there was a good response.
The money was presented on Friday afternoon to the Dundee Carers’ Centre.
The centre is a charity which provides support and information to unpaid carers.
Lucinda Godfrey, manager of the Dundee Carers’ Centre, was delighted with the donation.
She said: “I am very impressed with this group of enterprising young people who have been motivated by helping others.
