Tree strewn roads marked the end of last week as gales whipped across the county, leading into a near snowscape across Angus on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The gust of snow sent lots of locals into a flurry of excitement.
Eryn Louise Ross admitted that she felt like an excitable child. “It does not snow like this in Arbroath!”
Another reader said on Twitter: “Snow and ice in Arbroath. I can’t feel my hands or face and I’ve nearly fallen twice. I love it!”
Not to miss a chance to play in the white stuff snow lovers sent us snaps of them enjoying the icy showers. Despite the Met Office’s severe warnings earlier in the week, they have predicted a chilly but almost snow free weekend with only a fine fall during Sunday night.
