Basket donation

Local Carnoustie businessman Ross Smyth has presented �300 to help with the enhancement of the Carnoustie town streets. At a house in Carnoustie on Monday he handed over the money with members of the Community Council and the lady who owns the house the hanging baskets have been maturing at. CARNOUSTIE businessman Ross Smyth on Monday presented £300 to Carnoustie Community Council to help with the enhancement of the town streets.

Our picture shows Mr Smyth with members of the community council and the Mrs Sarah Paton who kindly offered the use of her large greenhouse to bring on the hanging baskets.

This year there will be 84 baskets to adorn the streets with their colourful plants.
