ARBROATH will play host to a light-hearted two-wheeled trip across America next month.

On Thursday, May 23, in the Assembly Hall of the Webster Memorial Theatre there will be a multimedia talk on a cycle trip of a lifetime for two Scots.

Graham Kitchener and Pauline Symaniak will present ‘Sleepless ‘til Seattle’, a talk using film, music and photographs to illustrate their four month, 4,000 mile coast to coast cycle trip across the Untied States.

Starting at Plymouth, Massachusetts, on the east coast it concludes in Seattle, Washington, on the west coast.

Their seemingly simple trip escalated rapidly as they encountered bears, storms, empty prairies, intense heat, mechanical failures and colourful characters along the road.

With no support team and only tents for shelter join Graham and Pauline as they discover the real America in its friendly small towns, spectacular landscapes and kind people.

The show starts at 7.30 p.m. and tickets are priced at £9 adult and £6 concession available from the box office on 01241 435800 or http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/sleepless-til-seattle-tickets/48059
