THE FRIENDS of Barry Mill are hoping for the weather to improve between now and August 4, which is when their big event of the summer, ‘Music at the Mill’, takes place. It is a celebration of folk, bluegrass and rock music which starts at 5.30 and closes at 10 p.m.
Tickets are only £5 (£2.50 for under-14s) and are available from Barry Mill itself or Mel’s Pet Shop, High Street.
Bring your own barbecue or picnic, warm clothes, and something to sit on, for what promises to be a splendid evening. The following week, on Friday, August 10, ‘Story time at the Mill’ is a new venture launched by the Friends.
Well-known storyteller Roberta (Robbie) Fotheringham from Tickle Toes Tales will be telling her stories to boys and girls aged between three and seven years - and their mums and dads! - between 10.30 and 11.30 a.m.
