Fabulous donation

A cheque for �1956 was presented in the Gilbert's home Carnoustie on Monday. Part of the money was raised by their grandson Martin Ferrier who did a sponsored bike run from Glasgow to Edinburgh raising �670 and the remainder from the couples golden wedding where they asked their guests for donations to Alzheimer's Scotland instead of gifts at the party in the Carnoustie Golf Hotel. A CHEQUE for £1,956 was presented to Alzheimer Scotland in the Carnoustie home of Julie and Tony Gilbert on Monday.

Some of the money was raised by their grandson, Martin Ferrier, who completed a sponsored bike run from Glasgow to Edinburgh raising £670 and the remainder came from the couple’s golden wedding anniversary party in the Carnoustie Golf Hotel after they asked their guests for donations to instead of gifts.
