Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is looking for a little help from Santa to boost its forthcoming festive fund-raising campaign.

The country’s only charity-funded air ambulance – which operates regularly in Angus – has produced a Christmas card featuring SCAA flying to the aid of an injured Santa after his sleigh ploughs into a snow drift.

And the life-saving charity is hoping people in the Angus area will buy the colourful cards to help boost its funds and raise SCAA’s profile among their friends and family.

David Craig, chief executive, said he hopes the cartoon card will have widespread appeal.

He said: “SCAA works 365 days a year flying to serious accidents and medical emergencies all over Scotland.

“Our vital work is serious and extremely demanding but the card is a bit of festive fun and shows that SCAA’s there for everyone – even Santa.”

The cards, priced at £4 for a pack of 10 (plus postage and packaging), are available to order from SCAA by telephoning 0300 123 1111 and are on sale at the charity’s Perth Airport offices.
