THE ANNUAL inspection and presentation evening of St Andrew’s First Aid, Monifieth Company was held in the Scout Hall, Boyack Centre, Monifieth, on Monday.
The centenary of the Company was also marked by a cake and a display of memorabilia and pictures collected over the past 100 years.
Guests included Mr Tom Cairns, former chairperson of Dundee and Angus Executive, St Andrew’s First Aid, and Mrs Cairns; Mrs Jeannie Barr, Commandant of Montrose Company; Mrs Lynne Hawke, Depute Commandant of Montrose Company; Mrs Judith Child, Honorary Commandant, Monifieth Company; Dr M. MacLean, Honorary Medical Officer; Mr and Mrs David Pullen and family and friends of class and company members.
The First Year Cup was won by Ryan Bjeirmi and the Judith Child Quaich was awarded to Calum Deuchar. The Centenary Quaich and the Edward Traynor Trophy were presented to Tracey Mackay.
The Cadet Trophy was won by Lauryn Hinley and the Special Award went to Glenn Burnett.
Standard First Aid certificates were presented to Ryan Bjeirmi, Dee-Marie Rollo, Christopher Smith, John Ness, Seonaid McGurk, Tracey Mackay, David Pullen, Alex Mackay, Lynda Ramsay, Calum Deuchar, Ewan Lindsay and Timothy Ness.
Junior First Aid certificates were gained by Glenn Burnett, Amy Morton, Sophia Brymer, Amy Roydon, Lauryn Hinley, Ellie Burnett, Anna McKenzie, Kirsty Melville, Katie Ramsay, Anya Uchman and Cameron Scott.
Moving and Handling (Principles) Certificates and Moving and Handling (People) Certificate recipients were Timothy Ness, Fiona O’Neill, Lynda Ramsay, Wendy Burnett, Judith Child, Calum Deuchar, Claire Greig, Alexander Mackay, Tracey Mackay, Seonaid McGurk and David Melville.
Fiona O’Neill was presented with an Anaphylaxis Trainer Certificate.
