The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has removed the flood warnings for areas across Angus and the Meanrs as rivers in the area begin to slowly fall over the course of today (Thursday).

Flood warnings were issued for Marykirk, Brechin, Kinnaird/Bridge of Dun, Inchbare, Logie Mill and Craigo, and Finavon and Tannadice - with the North and South Esk rivers causing mayhem as they burst their banks due to the deluge of rain delivered by Storm Frank.

While warnings have been removed, SEPA has said that standing water will be evident in some areas as a result of yesterday’s flooding.

A flood alert for the Dundee and Angus area still remains in place.

Details for all current active flood alerts can be found on SEPA’s website at http://floodline.sepa.org.uk/floodupdates/
