ANGUS Council is supporting food businesses in the county through a series of training events.
In the latest development, the authority’s environmental health section has now gained approval from the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland to run Intermediate level food hygiene course for the first time.
These are designed for supervisors and managers, and the first course will be run over three days from Friday, March 9, at Bruce House, Arbroath.
Council spokesman on environmental health issues Councillor David May said: “It is imperative that local food businesses have access to professional low cost food hygiene training in Angus.
“I am delighted that we now have approval from the REHIS, to add to the courses available to local businesses.”
