Friendship Club

MEMBERS of Panbride Friendship Club were entertained at their meeting in the Newton Panbride hall on Tuesday afternoon by Matthew Bicket.

He enthralled the company with a wide variety of music by composers such as Hayden, Beethoven, Bach and Ivor Novello. He played tunes that reminded members of their childhood, their teenage years and of more special times in their lives.

Harry Secombe, Mario Lanza and Richard Tauber were all brought to life with his music and everyone was left ‘Bewitched, bothered and bewildered’ at the finish.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 27, at 2 p.m. in the Newton Panbride hall , when a programme of musical entertainment will be presented by Wilma Ewart and Friends.
