THE PANMURE Centre has recently introduced a novel way to help users get their five-a-day.
As a result, the Kinloch Street centre’s steward Alan Jackson has taken on the challenge of offering a healthy option during snack time on Fridays throughout March.
Dubbed ‘Fruity Friday’ Alan will be offering his own handmade selection of creative and colourful 100 per cent fruit and vegetable juices for the introductory price of 99p.
All are welcome to come along and sample Alan’s creations.
Panbride Friendship Circle
LIZ ADAMS introduced the Rev. Matthew Bicket to a packed hall of members of Panbride Friendship Circle on Tuesday.
He presented a magical musical programme, with excerpts from ‘An English Country Garden’, Beethoven melodies and a Spanish serenade.
He also played ‘We’ll Gather Lilacs’ and ‘Farewell to Stromness’.
A vote of thanks was proposed by Susan Wilson.
At the next meeting, on March 26 at 2 p.m. Maureen Paterson will speak on ‘A Lady with Bags’.
All are welcome.
