THEATRE-GOERS young and old have been enjoying this year’s pantomime, ‘Dick Whittington’, as performed by Monifieth Amateur Dramatics.
Playing to a packed theatre over the entire run, the group has been greeted with enthusiastic feedback and lively participation from the audiences. Our picture shows the entire cast on stage at their Monifieth theatre.
This busy drama group is still working very hard to complete the purchase of the theatre building in Monifieth so that the local community can continue to enjoy such delights as the ever popular stage version of ‘Fawlty Towers’ and also the comedy ‘Good Things’ by Scottish playwright Liz Lochhead which are planned for the first half next year.
In May next year, as an extra fund-raiser, members of Monifieth Amateur Dramatics are looking forward to taking their hugely successful production of ‘Dad’s Army’ on the road to Arbroath’s Webster Memorial Theatre and also to the Gardyne Theatre Broughty Ferry.
