Funding has been agreed this week allowing Caledonia Housing Association to build a significant affordable housing development in Carnoustie.

The development on Anderson Street will comprise of new 24 homes overlooking the golf course. The housing consists of eight two-bed flats for shared equity ownership, eight two-bed flats for rent and eight one-bed flats for rent.

The Caledonia homes are part of the Section 75 element of a larger site which started several months ago, some of the private units have already been finished, sold and occupied.

The Caledonia flats will start construction next month and it is anticipated they will be completed for early autumn next year.

Andrew Kilpatrick, Caledonia Housing Association Asset Management Director said: “Caledonia Housing Association are delighted to work with Ogilvie Homes to provide much needed affordable housing to Angus in such a desirable location.”
