Carnoustie Gala Committee distributed cheques to the tune of more than £6,000 at their annual presentation evening last week.
On Friday in the Laurie Lounge of the Royal British Legion Scotland chairperson Mary Bushnell handed over donations to deserving local causes.
Carnoustie Gala Committee member Ed Oswald said: “Every year the Gala Committee support a particular project in the community. This year it was decided to divide the donation between two organisations, namely the Carnoustie Coastguard Association and the Carnoustie Youth Football Academy, each of which received a cheque for £500.”
