ARBROATH fund-raisers will become their crime-fighting alter-egos for a popular charity event.
The Arbroath Relay for Life event for Cancer Research UK has revealed its theme for this year will have participants dressing up as heroes and villains this September.
The 24-hour event will see teams of fund-raisers completing sponsored runs or walks around a track laid out at the Arbroath United Cricket Club grounds at Lochlands on September 21 and 22.
Last year the event realised over £40,000 for Cancer Research UK making it the town’s single biggest fund-raising event.
Even though September is a long way off it is never too early to start raising sponsorship and registering a team.
Registration for Relay for Life 2013 is now open on the Cancer Research Relay for Life webpage, where interested teams can find all the details.
And now the Angus committee of Cancer Research UK, which organises the relay is keen to hear from anybody who will be able to assist them in planning this year’s event.
