THE CARNOUSTIE Development Group got in the swing of the Ricoh Women’s British Open at the weekend by creating their own golf display in the High Street.
The group was given use of the window of a vacant shop on the corner of the High Street and Queen Street by owners DJ Laing and decorated it with old golfing memorabilia.
And last week while the world of women’s golf was in town, the display which charts the history of golf in Carnoustie was drawing a lot of attention.
Bill Bowles, a member of the CDA, said: “This idea started in January and we decided to make the window display.
“We have to thank DJ Laing for loaning us the window as it ended up looking really good.”
