Guide dog boost

Primary three children at Burnside Primary School studied the five senses as their topic during November.

They learned about sound, taste, touch, smell and sight and as part of this topic, the children undertook a sponsored blindfolded obstacle course.

This was to show how difficult it is for a person with vision impairment to get around. The children raised £55 and presented a cheque for that amount to Mrs Ainsworth from the Guide Dogs Association who brought the dog, Spring, along with her.

The children also collected three big bags of dog treats for Spring to take back to share with all her friends. The youngsters are pictured presenting the cheque to Mrs Ainsworth and Spring.
