The Arbroath and Area Partnership will hold their annual general meeting on Tuesday, May 27.

The meeting will begin at 6.30 p.m. in the Voluntary Action Angus at 32-34 Guthrie Port, and will be followed by the general meeting at 7 p.m.

The Arbroath and Area Partnership brings together public, private, business and voluntary sectors to work together to influence and improve the delivery of public services, develop sustainable economic growth, support and promote voluntary organisations and retain and advance local heritage and culture for the well-being of the community.

The work of the partnership is supported by Angus Council’s communities team and feeds into the overall community planning process in Angus.

Whilst a wide range of organisations are currently represented on the partnership, new members are always welcome and any individual or organisation can join.

Current partnership priorities include: the regeneration of Arbroath town centre; working with the Arbroath in Bloom group to improve Arbroath and create a peaceful and attractive environment for both the local community and visitors to the town; exploring new ways for the partnership to get involved with the annual Tartan Day events; and celebrating Arbroath’s links with the armed forces.
