Donation to Ninewells cancer centre

A cheque for �250 was presented to Ninewells Cancer Campaign representatives Lady Fraser, chairman, and Aubrey Wood, vice-chairman, at  a ceremony at Barry Parish Church on Thursday.  The money was raised at a flower festival in the church in May  which had been organised by Carolyn Peters, Lorna Yule and committee members as part of the celebrations to mark the 125th anniversary of the present Barry Church. Lady Fraser said:  'Ninewells Cancer Campaign is very grateful for this generous donation from the 125th anniversary committee of Barry Church.  The flower festival was a wonderful way to celebrate 125 years of the church and I was fortunate to be there to see the 20 magnificent floral displays depicting various aspects of church and community over the years.'
