ARBROATH Round Table held their annual pensioners versus Tablers games night at Newgate Bowling Club on Tuesday.

The Round Table treated 11 pensioners to a three-course meal before challenging them to a round-robin tournament in dominoes, carpet bowls putting, Jenga and Connect Four.

The final score was Round Table 4, Pensioners 1.

The night was finished off with a free raffle with every pensioner taking home a prize.

Chairman Ian Lorimer said: “The annual OAP games night is a highlight on our calendar of events and we always look forward to it.

“A great night is always had and it was actually how I first decided I would get involved in Round Table a few years ago as I had such a good time.

“Thanks must go to Newgate Bowling Club for the use of their facilities, Barry Watt of Morrisons Supermarket for generously donating all the food we required to serve up the meal and lastly to Ian and Bev Wren for the cooking of the meal.”
