The Whitehall Theatre in Dundee has a mixed helping for the start of 2015, starting with the Circus of Horrors on Thursday, February 5.
The show that stormed into the finals of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and now a West End smash is back to mark its 20th Anniversary in spectacular style.
The last few years have seen its profile jump tremendously after rampaging into the television show’s finals and to this date it is still the only circus ever to reach the finals.
Among the characters to grace the stage are some of the greatest and most bizarre circus acts on earth - sword swallowers, knife throwers, daredevil balancing acts, astounding aerialists and a demon dwarf, to name but a few.
This is followed by ‘Hairspray The Musical’ which runs from Thursday, March, 19 to Saturday, March 21.
Set in 1960s Baltimore, lovable plus size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing and wins a spot on a local TV programme.
Can a larger-than-life teenager manage to integrate the television show, find true love and vanquish the programme’s reigning princess, all while singing and dancing?
You’ll have to see it to believe it!
Ticket details for both shows are available from the Dundee City Box Office on 01382 434940.
