More than £1300 has been raised for Cancer Research UK thanks to the charitably minded staff at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel.
Over the last 12 months the staff have undertaken a number of fundraising schemes from cake bakes to endurance challenges, raising a grand total of £1343 for the charity.
Chair of Carnoustie Golf Hotel Staff Committee Janis Caird explained: “We’re delighted to be able to support Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work with our fundraising efforts.
“We’re raised this money through a variety of fundraising activities - mainly selling sweets and homemade tablet at the hotel’s reception desk and by several members of staff taking part in a sponsored triathlon.”
Plans are already being considered for next year’s fundraising campaign.
Janis added: “The Staff Committee has several ideas for 2016 – but we’ll definitely be continuing to sell homemade tablet, which is very popular with our guests.”
Cancer Research UK raises money to provide care for cancer sufferers and also to fund research into fighting cancer in all forms.
