Kinloch Centre update

The Carnoustie Centre Action Group is full steam ahead to move the project onto the next stage.

The group has been consulting with funding experts and local pupils and are gearing up for further fund-raising activities.

Rodger Brunton, chairperson of the group said: “Matters are progressing, inasmuch as that we’ve held meetings with the Lottery funding people.

“We’ve also been having meetings with a firm called Indigo, who help people make Lottery applications, helping them decide which boxes to tick.

“We’ve been out talking to primary school children, the young future users, about what’s going to be available at the centre, and 500 forms were returned by High School pupils canvassed to see what they want.”

The group is still looking for three horse sponsors for their race night at the Station Hotel on Friday, November 11. Tickets are £5 including stovies, and the group will also have a stall at the Christmas Fayre at the Fairway Garage selling mugs, keyrings and other memorabilia.
