The perambulating powers of Angus College staff were recognised at a light-hearted presentation earlier this week.

On Tuesday 100 staff members celebrated the completion of an eight week walking challenge with a tongue-in-cheek ceremony in the Angus Centre for Enterprise.

Walkers were split into teams of 20, led by a team captain, and each member was issued with a pedometer.

The aim of the challenge was to measure how far they travelled during their college day.

Jane Cooper, from Angus College’s human resources department was delighted by the effort put in by the staff taking part.

She said: “It’s been a fantastic success.

“Everyone seems to be enjoying the challenge and it’s amazing how competitive everyone is!

“It’s been a great way of raising awareness of how active you are during your normal day and it definitely seems to encourage people to get moving.”
