Regular customers to Monifieth Library might notice that there has been a bit of a move this month. Staff have interfiled the paperback books and moved the large print.

Library staff hope this tweak to the layout will give easier access to the various collections. Remember, if you can’t find what you’re looking for, please ask a member of staff, they will be delighted to help.

One thing that hasn’t changed just yet is the display table.

There’s still plenty of time to come and browse the ‘Wealth of Reading’ collection and you’ll receive a free bag for life when you borrow a book.

This display is supported by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) and if you submit a review of your borrowed book you might even win a tablet.

As the school holidays are coming to an end, the Bookbug activities have now returned to normal.

If you’ve never been before, why not go along with your little ones for songs, rhymes and stories? Baby Bookbug is suitable for babies who haven’t found their feet just yet and is held on a Tuesday a 10.30 a.m.

Toddler Bookbug is for children who are beginning to walk and is held on Wednesday at 10.30 a.m.

And Bookbug’s Storytime is for children aged three to five and is held on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
