A CARNOUSTIE pub is looking forward to bringing a little taste of summer to the town next month.

The Kinloch Arms Hotel will be staging a ‘ciderfest’ on the weekend of February 4 and 5, and don’t worry, this time it will be inside!

Proprietor Jonathon MacInally said: “We have 10 live bands playing over the two days. So far we have confirmed Michael Binnie, The Vigilantes, The Last Orders, Cutlog 61 and the Nicoll Brothers Band.

“There are a lot of new bands compared to other events we’ve organised in the past.

“We’re going to take the pool table away and set them up there.”

The ciders will also be served indoors, and Jonathon has secured a range of interesting and no doubt potent brews.

Among them will be Scrumpy Jack, Rekordlig Strawberry and Lime, Moles Black Rat, a mulled cider and the cask-conditioned Thistle Cross cider.

Jonathon added: “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone trying all the different ciders and seeing the different bands.”

Patrons can enjoy the Kinloch Arms ‘ciderfest’ from 5 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, February 4, and from 3 until 11 p.m. on the Sunday. Entry is free.
