Local author visits library

The Reminiscence Groups at Arbroath and Monifieth libraries were delighted to meet best selling local author Mae Stewart. Mae, author of 'Dae yeh mind thon time?' which was then followed by 'O is fir Ingin' recalled life in the 1940s and 50s and beyond.'Whilst at Monifieth library, Mae was delighted to launch a booklet written by the Monifieth Model Group to complement their model which is housed in the library. The booklet details life in Monifieth from 1930 - 1960 and is available to buy from the library and from members of the model group. MONIFIETH Reminiscence Group was delighted to meet a best selling local author last week.

Mae Stewart wrote ‘Dae yeh mind thon time?’ and ‘O is fir ingin’ recalling life in the 1940s, 50s and beyond, visited the group at Monifieth Library.

While there Mae was delighted to launch a booklet written by the Monifieth Model Group to complement their diorama housed in the library.

The booklet details life in Monifieth from 1930 to 1960 and is available to buy from the library and from members of the model group.

A community grant was provided by Angus Council to assist with the production of the booklet.
