The first in the series of June afternoon concerts began on Sunday with a performance from six members of the Arbroath Piano Club.
The six pianists contributed a selection of pieces ranging from Scarlatti to modern Einaudi, demonstrating the wide variety of moods and styles that composers have achieved over the centuries and making for an interesting and informative programme.
The next concert is on Sunday and features three performers, soprano Maggie Findlay, cellist Joanna Stark and viola player Elizabeth Flett, who make a welcome return to St Vigeans. Maggie is well known to local and district audience. Joanna plays in the senior division of the National Youth Orchestra and the Fife Youth Orchestra and Elizabeth is presently studying at the prestigious Guildhall of Music in London.
Concerts last an hour and begin at 2.30 p.m. with donations accepted at the door and refreshments served in the hall after the concert.
