BEAVERS VISIT DEEP SEA WORLD

MEMBERS of 1st Carnoustie Beavers enjoyed their spring outing on Sunday. The group spent the morning at Deep Sea World, North Queensferry, in the shadow of the Forth Bridge.

Conservation officer David Hunter gave the Beavers an interesting presentation on sharks.

The youngsters then experienced a touch session on reptiles and insects, which included a snake called Edna, thorny stick insects, Madagascar hissing cockroaches and African millipedes.

After a picnic lunch, the Beavers toured around the aquarium and visited the seal sanctuary.

The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly a tour in the underwater tunnel searching for the sand tiger sharks.

In the afternoon, the Beavers had a stop off at Kingdom of Fun Adventure Park in Dunfermline before heading back to Carnoustie.
