Broughty community news

Ferry councillor Kevin Cordell is pleased to note that the new ‘Manchester bollards’ are now in place at the foot of Gray Street, Broughty Ferry.

He told the Guide & Gazette: “Apparently there have been issues with people parking and sometimes slipping back against the fence which is only to stop pedestrians going into the water.

“The bollards will be able to be removed just in case the slipway needs to be used in the future.”

The councillor attended a ‘walkabout’ in the Forthill area on Tuesday, organised by the Forthill Tenants’ Association.

He explained: “This was an important chance for residents to raise concerns first hand with outside bodies, as well as the council’s officers.

“Representatives of the City Council housing department, environment department and city development were in attendance.”
